Our heart needs the same things that are needed by our other part of body. It needs the sufficient supplies of the oxygen and other nutrients to make it stays in the proper work in spreading the blood to our body. And the vessels that hold this important task are called the coronary arteries. They are the small vessels but with the larger duties to do.
But unfortunately, these vessels can be clogged and the blood flows with the burdens for being impeded by the clog. It is all because these vessels are able to be blocked by the fat and the cholesterol built in the vessels themselves. If this occurs, there is no other ways better than having the Coronary artery bypass surgery done on us.
This surgery is also known as the Heart bypass surgery and aimed to make the blood flows back to the heart accomplishing what has been the task for the vessels. The surgeons use the bypass pump to support the patient with the oxygen during the surgery, traditionally. But now along with the modern technology application in the medical world, the surgeons can perform the surgery by using the robots so they would not have to be in the same place with the patient. It is what then called as Robotic heart surgery. For further information, please log on to the umm.edu website.
