The team of scientists from the universities of Maryland and Berkeley have created a prototype device Dual-Screen Ebook, is an electronic book, realized in the form-factor, which developers feel more natural, familiar and convenient for users. Dual-Screen Ebook open as normal paper book, and it turns the user sees two identical display showing two neighbouring pages. When a user wants to page, it just adds device and discloses back. If desired, block Dual-Screen Ebook can be folded and turned in one device. Also possible division halved device to be read together.

The real convenience Dual-Screen Ebook has been questioned. In addition, the first tests showed that the weight of the device is too large for comfortable use.
